The start of the final day of the first test was delayed due to rain, India is in the need of 157 runs on the final day with nine wickets in hand. Had it been clear weather by now the play would have started but the rain kept the game in the recess for a while hopefully it won’t be a long delay,
Meanwhile in social media lots of banter going on under the hashtag #INDVSENG.
Micheal Vaughn is known for his Twitter activity, earlier he tweeted that the final day of the first test match would be the perfect day for the bowlers.
Now he came with another tweet by saying “Looks like Rain may be saving Indian here”.

A brief recap of the Test match:
In the first Innings, choosing to bat first England couldn’t justify their decision to bat first as they bundled out by183 runs, Jasprit Bumrah took four wickets.
Coming to bat Indian opener showed resilience to score 97 runs for the first wicket, soon after the wicket of Rohit Sharma, the wickets were tumbling at one end, but K L Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja score half-century to take India’s total over England’s total. with the contribution of tail-enders India got the lead of 95 runs in the first Innings.
Trailing 95 runs, when England came to bat, with the steady innings of Joe Root England set the target of 209 runs for India to win the first test.
Once again, Indian bowler, Jasprit Bumrah took five wickets in the second innings.
India started their run chase cautiously on the fourth day of last season, though India lost the wicket of in-form K L Rahul looking solid with opener Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara at the crease.
Now the rain is only a worry for Indians, which can deny India’s victory today.
